Installation

Installing our anti-fatigue ESD flooring is slightly more complex than installing our standard floor tiles. You can use the following installation instructions to do it yourself, but we highly recommend speaking to a member of our team before installing an ESD floor. We’ll help clarify all of the required components (e.g. grounding tape, earth bonding plug and grounding cord) and ensure the subfloor is suitable.

A modular alternative to anti-fatigue matting

Anti-fatigue floor coverings play a significant role in promoting employee health, safety and productivity in the workplace. Yet traditional solutions like loose-laid matting often cause their own safety issues. For example, they move around or create trip hazards with curling corners (usually caused by trolley and cage traffic).

That’s why we developed our own range of anti-fatigue floor tiles which insert straight into our original modular flooring system. Businesses can create dual-purpose areas, without the need for loose matting on top of the floor covering. How are anti-fatigue floor tiles different to standard Ecotiles?

They’re manufactured in exactly the same way as all our floor tiles. But they are produced to a different Shore hardness to our original floor tiles. Our anti-fatigue tiles have a rating of 62, giving them a medium/soft composition. This means they’re more flexible and provide enhanced comfort for uses standing on them for extended periods.

What's the benefit vs loose-lay anti-fatigue mats?

Our anti-fatigue floor tiles are the same size as our original tiles, so they’re designed to sit flush within the modular floor tile system. This means there’s no trip hazard, no loose-lay mats getting curled up by trolleys and cages. Just insert them into an Ecotile floor where they’re most needed – around workstatons or anywhere people spend extended time standing.

Will anti-fatigue Ecotile floor tiles work within a static controlled area?

We manufacture a specific ESD anti-fatigue floor tile, which works in conjunction with our standard ESD tile system. Softer and more forgiving for extended periods of standing, these tiles protect from fatigue as well as static damage to components and products.

What surface finishes are anti-fatigue tiles available in?

Our E500/7 floor tile system has a raised disc finish for extra comfort, and is available in black. Our X500 anti-fatigue tiles are available with a textured finish to match our X-Joint tiles surface finish.

Are Ecotile anti-fatigue tiles recyclable?

Yes they are. At the end of their useful life we can recycle them into the next generation of floor tiles.
