Looking Forward to Automechanika Frankfurt 2018
We are happy to announce that Ecotile Flooring will be featuring at Automechanika Frankfurt in September this year.
Automechanika Frankfurt is one of the biggest and most important trade fairs for the automotive industry, having been curated by Messe Frankfurt since 1971. More than 100,000 have come from all over the world to see the latest and greatest from 4,843 exhibitors. A huge variety of innovations and products have been showcased at past events including automotive parts, IT services, workshop and filling-station equipment, tuning, body and paintwork.
Taking place every two years, Automechanika will be celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2018. Taking place between the 11th-15th September 2018, several new themes have been added to Automechanika this year including Classic Cars and the REIFEN trade fair, having previously been held in Essen. All trade events will also be held in the new Hall 12 for the first time. Very exciting times ahead.
The theme for the previous Automechanika event in 2016 focused on ‘Tomorrow’s Service & Mobility’. 4,820 exhibitors from 76 countries came to event to showcase what they had in store for the automotive market of tomorrow, including a significant amount of industry leaders. All exhibitors gave their unique outlook and demonstrations in which the industry is adapting to the Internet of Things(IoT) and connected cars are coming to the forefront. Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt GmbH stated that:
“With these impressive figures, Automechanika is continuing to build on its position as the world’s leading platform for the automotive aftermarket. In addition to countless impressive smart vehicles that are already connected, the struggle for data was one of the hottest topics of discussion at the trade fair.”
Messe Frankfurt then decided to create a new niche “Connected Mobility”; an international road show that began on the 15th September 2016. One highlight of the show was Jeep hacker Chris Valasek (now Security Lead at Uber Advanced Technology Centre) giving a presentation on the growing importance of software security in connected cars.
Back to 2018, we will be in Hall 9.0 at stand A49 where will be showcasing our trademark high-quality PVC floor tiles. Having already provided our flooring solution to the likes of Pirelli, Rolls Royce, Invictus Games, Kwikfit and Porsche to name a few, we are excited to see what new opportunities this year’s Automechanika will bring.
See you soon, everyone!
